All connectors come with a fiber optic stub in the connector tip, which is cemented firmly in place. The stub is polished to a physical-contact (PC) finish. Because the connectors are prepolished, you get the strength of a bonded connection without polishing and epoxy during installation. That makes it easy to get peak performance. The connector housing is designed to make matching up the fiber stub and cable easy. Insert a stripped and cleaved fiber cable in the connector, and when you feel little or no resistance, the fiber and stub and are matched up correctly. Then just crimp!
