This is adapter converts a Mini-TOSLINK Digital Optical Audio (also known as 3.5mm Optical Digital Audio) cable into the more common Toslink style plug.

This adapter has the following configuration:

• Mini-TOSLINK 3.5mm Optical Female
• Toslink Digital Optical Male

NOTE: This ONLY works with 3.5mm OPTICAL cables. This is not a digital to analog converter, and it is also not a analog to digital converter. This adapter converts from one type of digital optical cable, to another type of digital optical cable like on a Toshiba, Macbook or Lenovo laptop's supportive 3.5mm jack.
