A loudspeaker is a transducer through which you get amplified sound. It is usually referred to as a simple speaker. All speakers use amplification through electronic circuits, even though the actual production of sound is through vibration of its cone. Sound energy is converted to electrical signal in the microphone. The electrical signals are reconverted into sound energy in the loudspeaker after amplification. The activation of the vibrating element of the loudspeaker results in the reproduction of the original sounds. An electronic circuit or amplifier controlled by an operator from outside helps to increase in the volume of the sound. Both large and miniature speakers have been developed for music players, TV receivers, etc. The development of stereo recording and playback has helped in almost exact reproduction of the original sound.
