This amazing robot uses its electronic brain to follow or find a light source (such as a standard flashlight). Using its drive motors, the Light Spider will scoot across any smooth hard surface (such as a linoleum floor or a wooden table top) looking for light. Unlike “normal” spiders that hide in the dark, our Light Spider robot actively searches for light! While searching, a LED array on the front of the robot lights up and blinks. Those that have had the opportunity to control the Light Spider have been amazed at how well it responds and how much fun it is to play with. We use a flashlight to control the movements of our Light Spider.

The Light Spider is an easy to build kit that operates form one 9V battery (available separately) and uses a transistor brain to control its 2 motors. The PC board and motors can be customized by painting them before assembly. Size of PC board is approximately 3.75” x 2.5”. This kit comes complete with all parts, PC board and instructions.Ages 10+
